HELLO! I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE.

For fifteen years I ran a marketing and advertising consulting firm with my husband. It was the best of times. When we moved to the Seattle area in 2010, I decided to try workin' for the man, and got a job with the biggest of all the mans—Microsoft. As a consultant to Microsoft, I developed my skills as a storyteller, uncovering a blistering hot talent for making complicated information easily understood. At the same time, I learned how to work with more stakeholders than anyone has any business working with, and still came out smiling. 

I'm ridiculously passionate about the stories I work on, and I've accepted that I find almost any topic extremely fascinating. Storyworks grows out of my desire to focus on the work that brings a brilliant hum to my mind, my heart and my soul. 

When I'm not pursuing the brilliant hum, I can be found underwater. I swim most days of the week, and in the summer I lose my mind and swim in the frigid Puget Sound. In the photo above I’m swimming in Tahiti with Mo’orea in the background, just one amazing experience in a 2-year Pacific Ocean circumnavigation my husband and I completed aboard our sailboat. My husband runs Dreamboat Adventure Sailing, our sailboat charter company, and it is a happy day when I can join him for a sail. Our three daughters are scattered across the Pacific Northwest, but our cat Kinky spends most of her time on our laps.
